So the hypernovel is poem stuff for spiders. Spiders weave their poems through the debris of my Glass Attic. I have built me a Glass Attic on the Memory of my Granny's House so that Spiders can spin me some Poetry.
Spiders a very Fu Manchu beastie (sort of like Beagles can't help being Fascists in a jovial Bavarian dressed Milanese sort of way). Spiders value Academic Accomplishment and they put a Big Premium on Spelling. Them Spiders all over Spelling. It's cool. Spiders can do anything they want as long as they stay up in the Attic. I don't hold with no program of Spider Reform.
Thinking Reform. I might hold with a program of Thinking Reform. That Ball of Twine Girl come over to my place one time during the "Big Ebonics Scare". The "Big Ebonics Scare" was started - this is my version - when some folks made a play for some Bi-lingual funding arguing that English and some of them African Tongues syncretized into a "Black English" that might be considered as a seperate linguistic form, a seperate language from "White English". Iffy, maybe as long term paradigm, but a good enough argument for picking Federal change. Oooh and somehow, I was aghast, they managed to make that a Big Stink and the Cover of a couple of them Snooty Pulps. It was like "Political Correctness" of a couple years before. A big scary Liberal Academic Paper Tiger. "Pretty soon those Crazy Godless Jewish Professors in those Elitist Ivy League Skools gonna make our poor children learn Ebonics and talk like pickaninneys," that was about how the story went when the Suits who came out of those damn skools got finished with it for 'the Media'.
That Ball of Twine girl come over and say to me: "Quin, I just want to know how to grade it." The baby had just finished a Masters in Education from the mother fucking New School. "I just want to know how to grade it."
When Universities are Big Falling Down Follies where we picknick and romance and fly kites everybody and especially Professors are gonna be happier. NO MORE GRADES is the Rx for a better future.
