1. Saw the Sound of Music at the SFA with the Darnells when we was living in the house with benches on Raguet (next to the weird Erskine Caldwell family who had the red headed cousin). Daddy'd never have taken us had not the Darnells been visiting 'cos he hated that Movie Musical shit and the Von Trapps too. The Von Trapps had come through Cleveland or wherever sometime in his childhood and his crazy momma had come home with sandals and recorders. (I ponder hanging on John Lewis Sound sometime and taking the Sound of Music back on them Austrians).

2. Pisk from Austria. Pisk got Daddy his job at SFA. (Adorno in the Hollywood hills with Mann and Schoenberg). Do, Re, Mi would've been newish with the Von Trapps, wouldn't it? Don't that originate with Kodaly? And what then of Woody's usage? Learned it off Pete Seeger's Momma? Woody went to go mess with Pete's Momma, mess with that Stalinist boy's head, and after the hot thrusting in the New Jersey afternoon picked up solfege?

3. I go into Cleo's room and there's this big Kurt Cobain baby up on the wall and we're playing guitar and I say: "you know, an open G, that Keef Richards tuning" - Cleo she look blank - "you know, that Kurt Cobain tuning" - Cleo look at me blank - "goddamn child" I say "I learned all this off your fucking uncle" - Cleo shrug. x slide guitars in a cowboy wasteland.

17. The Proposed Highway. The Car that's so smurfy is the Car inside your head but Highway Systems like any systems an exercise in banking. Las Vegas made itself the Bank by ratting out Hot Springs and Galveston and by getting Castro to take Havana off-line.

17.The Proposed Highway. Texas sort of progressive till oil gets found and then the Rockefellers fund the Fundamentalisation of the Populace to insure Servitude in the Working Class. Granny's Grandpa was Preaching Scab. There'll be pie in the sky when you die.
