Even an old dog like me should at least try to learn a new trick occasionally, so I've been experimenting with podcasting recently. But as those who heard the segment on dead pixel policies that I recorded for last Friday's InfoWorld Daily podcast (which you can access by clicking on the "Listen" link on this page) will realize, I want to incorporate one trick I learned long ago. I've always believed that the most important voice in what I write is that of my readers; now podcasting gives me the opportunity to have the "Reader Voices" actually be audible.

I've still got a lot to learn about podcasting, particularly the logistics of recording and editing my readers' comments. I've already made a few mistakes that caused some earlier attempts to go awry, and I'll doubtlessly make some more. But if you don't mind the possibility that I'll fumble away your pearls of wisdom too, send them my way.

At least for now, it starts the old-fashioned way: e-mail at Foster@gripe2ed.com and tell me what's on your mind. Your comments can be about something I've already written about, like the dead pixel story, or you can point out something you think I should be writing about. That's still the way to make your voice heard, maybe even literally.
