Software I Need
I trying to get the software I'll need to put these classes together. I need some way to record audio, but I don't know what program to use for that yet. My operating system is Mac OS X Panther. I'm sure I'll find something.
For video, it should be okay. I just bought QuickTime Pro, which will allow me to put the video clips into QuickTime format for posting on the Website.
I already have the video camera that can link in to the Mac through the USB port. It is a MiniDV format, so it works really well. I tested it and it's great. I had an old microphone that I used to use in my music days. My brother-in-law Gary and I hooked it up to the video camera and then played it back through the computer. The sound was excellent! So that problem is solved.
I'm thinking of using video with sound for talking-head type stuff. My head there talking and then some background stuff going on, maybe PowerPoint slides-type stuff. I can do that background stuff with a "green screen" software program. That comes from some company that does a plug-in for iMovie on the Apple. I just bought the plug-in today too.
That's all I can think of so far. Preparing the landscape to get it all done.
