Finally got definitive word from my editor that SUSE Linux 10 Unleashed
will hit the distribution channels on Friday, and should be at a
bookstore near you sometime next week. All the major online outlets
have been accepting pre-orders for months now (when it was still SUSE Linux 9 Unleashed), but you will soon be able to hold it in your hands (and at 672 pages, you will need both of them) any day now!
Judging from the pre-press PDFs they sent me awhile back, I am pretty
proud of this offering. Even if you haven't run Linux before, I'm
confident that you'll be up and running in no time. For the experienced
user, there are still some tricks in there that will make SUSE Linux
just that more useful to you. We also got a surprising amount of
content (given the incredible time pressures we were under) that's
specific to this latest SUSE version. You might even get a chuckle or
two out of the book too (if not at the level of the For Dummies series, and maybe that's a good thing).
