I picked up two new books this week: Nexus:  Small Worlds and the Groundbreaking Science of Networks, and Digital Biology. Both of these fit well into my current interest into the convergence of computer science, biology, complexity, and network theory.  Another really good book is The Genius Within:  Discovering the Intelligence of Every Living Thing.  Now if I can just get the time to read them!   10:16:19 PM     The kids went to bed early tonight and my wife is out with a friend, so I actually had time to wander the Web for a while.  I stumbled across several interesting articles, which I'm listing below for my own future reference: Be Good to Your Objects one of may good Regular Expressions articles. Python Success Stories over at O'Reilly. Lisp as an Alternative to Java, is a comparison of Lisp, Java, and C++.  The paper is somewhat old (1999), but still interesting. Common Lisp - Myths and Legends. Pride and Prejudice:  Four Decades of Lisp. Information on Remote Agent, a NASA experiment that was run on the Deep Space 1 spacecraft.  This is another Lisp-based system.   10:05:37 PM
