Java On The Desktop: An Idea Whose Time Has Come ... And Gone
I'm currently working with an application that uses Java Applets and is making my life painful. Strange bugs, poor performance, long download times, and incompatible Java plug-in versions are all making the project less than fun. I'll agree with the article's author: leave Java on the server and buy a Mac for the client.
