As a celebration of the Edinburgh festival, the capital's big rivals Hearts and Hibs will play tomorrow for the Festival Cup. I'm not sure how they came up with such an apt name for the trophy, but maybe given recent league performances it should have been called the Fringe Cup instead.

I received a broadcast e-mail from Celtic football club today announcing a memorial fund to raise money for the family of Audrius Slekys, the Kaunas player who was killed in a car crash last weekend. This is a thoughtful touch and you can send postal donations to
