4 days to go
So, assuming you subscribe to the Old Firm uberalles theory, who do you think is going to come third this year? Well that is the big question really, isn't it?
I guess Hearts must be favourites but I have a sneaking feeling that the team which Ian McCall has built at Dundee United might just cause a few surprises.

| BBC digital disaster |
As a Scot who has to live in England, I have been closely following recent developments regarding the BBC on Sky Digital. You can now receive all BBC1 regions free to air including BBC1 Scotland which was a major cause for celebration. And that's not because I can now watch Reporting Scotland each evening.
I was looking forward to SPL coverage here in the land of the Barclaycard. But my celebrations has been interrupted. My joy short-lived. According to this pathetic BBC FAQ, when SPL games are being shown on BBC1 Scotland, the satellite broadcast will just show a screen telling the beloved viewer to tune in to the terrestrial channel. Well thanks for nothing!
So it looks like I will have to consider forking up £30 for a season ticket on Setanta. The only thing is I'm not sure if I can afford it. Maybe another midnight raid of the kids' piggy banks is in order.

| Hearts and safety |
The Festival cup was not presented to Hearts after their ground-breaking victory in Saturday's Fringe Cup final. Apparently this was due to public safety concerns - or so we were advised by safety supervisor Bobby Williamson.
