How do I use my Tablet while at my desk?

I love my Toshiba Portege 3500 Tablet PC.   It is beefy enough to run Visual Studio, has a decent battery life and a good size screen.

In my office though I still use a desktop PC for my day to day work.  I wanted a way to use the tablet also for running my news aggregator , viewing my schedule, while still using my monitor for my main PC.

Here is what I did:

1.  I went to my friendly neighborhood Target and got a desktop picture frame holder that was strong enough to hold up my Tablet PC in portrait mode.

2.  I installed ShareKMC on both my Desktop and Tablet PC.

With ShareKMC and simple press of the pause key I can switch control to my Tablet PC from the Desktop over the local area network.  I can copy and paste text and small images between the two machines.  The mouse pointer is a little jerky (hopefully its fixed in the final release) , but the keyboard works great.

I can keep my schedule up while leaving my monitor for real work.  If I need to swap over to the tablet and type or dismiss a meeting request I can do so easily.

Thanks Scoble for the photo.
