WASHINGTON - Government watchdogs are raising concerns about a potential conflict of interest for Justice Antonin Scalia (news - web sites) because he had dinner and went on a hunting trip with Dick Cheney (news - web sites) while the Supreme Court was involved in a case about the vice president's energy task force.

WASHINGTON -- The panel set up to investigate why the United States failed to prevent the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, faced angry questions Thursday after revelations that two of its own senior officials were so closely involved in the events under investigation that they have been interviewed as part of the inquiry.
