So! What is the deal? It does not matter how much evidence of lying, exaggerating, or abuse of power and office is mounted against this Republican president, the Republican dominated House of Representatives will not investigate. Even if they would permit investigations and found all charges to be true, they would NOT vote to impeach. This is the danger for the American people when the same party holds both congress and the presidency.
The only way President Bush will face charges for his misdeeds is at the polls in 2004. While the polls are falling for this president, his campaign war chest and 50% (give or take a percent or two) of voter support, will all but gurarantee another 4 years of Bush's war on countries which have no defenses against US forces, and his war on the American working class, the environmental advocacy groups, the Bill of Rights, etc., etc., etc.
Even if his polls were to drop below 40%, Texas is going to show us how the Republicans plan to win anyway, through redistricting every two years to prepare to hold power in the next election cycle regardless of the popular vote, - all at tax payer expense, mind you.
