Rob Hamilton, Mayor of Barrie, Ontoario, Canada has proclaimed Feb. 6 "Stop Commuting Day" and announced a deal with SuiteWorks to open a telework office center to allow up to 120 workers with high-paying, white-collar jobs to work closer to home. The average total daily commute in Barrie, near Toronto, is three hours.
