Wolf Still Wants More Feds Working from Home by Steve Eldridge (WTOP Radio, May. 25, 2004) reminds us that according to the 2001 Federal Telework Mandate, 100-percent of eligible federal employees should be teleworking at least one day a week by the end of this year. The mandate's author, Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA) intends to "add some teeth to the mandate" by reducing appropriations for non-compliant agencies.
I predict we'll finally start seeing goverment agencies stepping up. While being considerate, envionmentally aware and, well, just plain smart are great goals, nothing talks louder than money.
