Busy, Busy, Busy . . . (and Tired!)

Nutcracker ProgramI'm SO Tired
Such a busy holiday weekend already. Last night we all went to see the Nutcracker . . . my very first ballet . . . at the Walnut Hill School. Celia of course is an old hand at this stuff, having seen the Nutcracker two years ago, and the Velveteen Rabbit and who knows what else. But it was all new to me and I totally loved it. I think mama and daddy were amazed I sat very still and paid complete attention to the whole thing. Well, OK, except for that really long part when the Sugar Plum fairies kept dancing, and dancing, and dancing . . . and I put my head down on dad's shoulder for just a couple of minutes. But I heard every note, really. All the music was so beautiful. Then today Celia and mama went to see Pirates of Penzance here at Harvard. I meant to go but somehow fell asleep (leading to, yes, yet another embarrassing picture!) in the car instead. Oh well. Celia said it was interesting but definitely not the Nutcracker.
