Diving Right Into the Snow!

We have been having so much fun playing in the snow. The first day it fell I couldn't stop falling down into it face-first. My dad warned me I would get really cold but I didn't care. Plus, the snow tasted so good.

Snow Angels

We made them in the snow, but dad says we are the true snow angels. Hmmmmmmm. Sure was fun. Today was our first blizzard of the winter -- lots and lots of snow and wind blowing it everywhere. Celia and I ate snow, and climbed through the drifts, and had daddy pull us all over on our sled.

It Really Has Been This Kind of Winter

Even for New England, this has been the craziest, most up and down winter in a long time (of course, I'm only 2-1/2, so what do I know? But everyone is saying it). One week it is sunny and warm and we can play outside with only a light jacket. Then the next week it's 25 degrees with a 10-degree wind chill. And sometimes it's like that from day to day. A couple of different times so far we have had a day where the high temperature one day is less than half what the high was just the day before (last time, a couple of weeks ago, it was 52 one day and 24 the next. Wacky). So these pictures just about capture it . . . even though, OK, the butterfly one was indoors at the Butterfly Garden at the Museum of Science (we had such a great time there!). But you get the idea.

Happy New Year -- We're Back Online!

Good grief -- our dad has been so lame in keeping our blog up to date. I can't imagine what else he has been up to . . . ! But now we are back, and everybody is doing great. This is our school family picture from last fall.

Summer Vacation . . . The Russian River Valley Wine Country

We started our great summer vacation with a weekend up in the Russian River Valley. It is SO pretty, and there are these grape vines everywhere. We walked through the vineyards and dad let us eat a few grapes, but he said they mostly were for grown ups to drink. Drink?? Hmmmm -- that is so strange!
