Confusion or ?
The Washington Post reports that the CIA did object to inclusion of the supposed Iraq-Niger uranium connection in October, much before the President's January state-of-the-union address. The Post article says disclosure of this information "...also appears to raise questions about the administration's explanation of how the faulty allegations were included in the State of the Union speech." I would say so. But the Bush administration has simply declared the matter closed according to the San Jose Mercury. I really don't think its over.
