It's time for a new CIA director
All the White House efforts to explain the inclusion of the uranium reference in the President's January state-of-the-union address have resulted in what Richard Cohen terms "a game of White House sword-passing" in his Washington Post opinion piece today. As successive Bush administration officials, first Tenet then Hadley, have stepped forward to take blame and to fall on the sword being passed around, they expose what Cohen calls "bumbling" and "shenanigans". Cohen particularly questions the indepence of the CIA and Tenet's stewardship and says "he's got to go." This is probably the best place to start.
