Mac Info

I have just upgraded my eMac to the Jaguar edition of OS X (10.2) A couple of notes for anyone doing the same.

1. I lost all of the phone numbers for my PPP dial-up connection EXCEPT for the current one in use. I can always go back and find them on my ISP's web site, but, if that is going to be a problem for you - beware!

2. In the old address book, I had many entries (v-cards as they are called) that were only an email address - no first or last name, just a stand alone email address. After updating, these v-card seemed to have gone away, although the email addresses are still there somewhere, I can access them when creating a new message in Mail. If you have accumulated a bunch of stand alone email addresses in your 10.1 address book and want to access them in 10.2 - It would seem that you might want to attach first and last names to them so the v-card will port over.

Looks like Apple now has a G5 computer. Click Here to go to the Apple web site to read more. While you are there you can read about the forthcoming OS X 10.3 release. (And I thought I was all caught up, ha, ha!)
