well... pol & maryna are back from scotland -- i caught up with them at the airport (sic) for a first chat -- here is what pol had to say:
"We landed in Glasgow and rented a Mercedes to Minard Castle (£90 for the most beautiful room, best view on the Loch and an unforgettable breakfast), driving through Loch Lomond, Tarbet and Inveraray. We then drove around Lochgilphead and to the Crinan Canal. The whole area is of extreme natural beauty. We left the car the following day and took a train to Edinburgh where we stayed at Cowgate Tourist Hostel (96, Cowgate - £30 per night for a private twin room). The advantage of that hostel is that it's situated in the heart of the old town but the facilities need improvement. There are other hostels in the same price-range and location, which could also be investigated such as St. Christopher's and High Street Youth Hostel. Needless to say Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe."
imperial happiness!
