This week's Showcase
Well ... I haven't yet read all the entries but my first vote goes to: Bill Gates to die in New York: Thoughts on the DV revolution at Brian Flemming's Weblog.
Update:
Well ... I simply do not have the time I want to read and write right now ... and I will probably not for a week to 10 days as my Mom is here visiting from Israel. But I did want to vote so I did a mediocre job of skimming all the entries to give at least everyone a nominal shot at my vote. The last 2 go to: John McKay's Why do they support this man? and Prometheus 6's Racism or Why They Don't Understand Us
It was a tough call. There were a few others I would have liked to be able to vote for. Prometheus 6 was a 'gimme.' Despite the fact that I didn't think it was a particularly compelling post, his is one of the few blogs I really try to read every day. My life is so segregated [not intentionally] I never get to have conversations with persons of color about how current events effect them as POC so I am so greatful for his blog that I can at least hear one voice. [And no, I am not presuming that he is speaking for all POC or even anyone beyond himself. But he is clear that his race impacts who he is and how he sees things].
As far as John McKay, I just liked his voice and a couple of other entries in his blog.
So there you go. For what it's worth.
