In case you hadn't noticed, the National Archery in the Schools Program
(NASP) is taking the country by storm. Already in hundreds of schools
in 22 states, NASP recently launched its first programs in Wisconsin.
Back in February, I took a TV crew to an elementary school in North
Fond du Lac, where we taped a segment on the first Wisconsin NASP
teacher training program for Outdoor Wisconsin. I also wrote an article on the event and NASP for Wisconsin Outdoor News. You can read it on the NASP website.
It's an exciting program that aims to teach kids safe archery skills
RIGHT IN THE SCHOOLS! Supported by the archery industry, NWTF and many
other groups and agencies, it's one of the most exciting partnerships
to come along in quite awhile.
Read all about it in my article and tell your local school you want to see NASP taught to your kids!
Speaking of Wisconsin Outdoor News, you'll find an article I wrote on turkey identification posted there now.
Now go back to "On the Road" for my belated report on The Last River Rat.
Later...
