Here's a quick recap of tonight's OWAA Awards Banquet, held at the conclusion of the 77th annual conference of the Outdoor Writers Association of America in Spokane, WA. More details will follow tomorrow.

Other highlights: Incoming president Marty Malin announced the formation of an Ad Hoc committee to study the possibility of changing the name of OWAA to something that better reflecting the diversity of both our organization and the variety of outdoor communicators who are not yet members, in hopes of better reflecting the nature and scope of our organization and what we do.
The OWAA board of directors today decided that the 2007 conference will be held in Roanoke, VA.
The People's Choice Award in the Nikon Photo Contest went to Bob Rozinski for his color shot of a marsh wren singling as it clung to two reeds.
