If you are attending DevDays, you might want to check out design patterns, specifically Observer and Command.  Dan did an excellent job showing how to implement this yesterday in St. Louis.  You will also want to check out Dan's blog where he is discussing some of the interesting parts of sessions 1 and 4.

Next stop is Nashville on Monday where I will team up with THE Billy Hollis to deliver the Smart Client track.  Billy is also going to let me get onstage with him during the keynote for the InfoPath/BizTalk demo.  I'm looking forward to it.

I had dinner with several St. Louis .NET influencers including my friend and fellow RD, Bill Evjen.  Bill is a recognized author and is currently working on a Whidbey ASP.NET book for Wiley

Then today, I noticed that he has a new ASP.NET article on MSDN.  It is an excellent text on how to use JavaScript with ASP.NET.  I did learn a couple of facts from it:

  • How to have RegisterStartupScript and RegisterClientScriptBlock show up in Intellisense
  • How to store my JavaScript functions in a JS file and have it downloaded to the client via code-behind.

Bill was also kind enough to allow me to do his DevDays keynote in St. Louis yesterday while he was attending to employer's business his Miami.  He has such a tough life...
