Thanks to Eric King (aka. The Krazy Kooter) for posting a video interview of me. This was recorded between sessions at the Nashville DevDays. The interview is a 60 second answer on what it takes to get a User Group started today. The short answer is that it's not easy, the pay ($$) is not good, and you'll need plenty of help. But there is assistance out there from INETA!
Another big point is that it takes a team to pull a user group meeting together. While I wouldn't classify our UG as "wildly successful", it wouldn't be as well off as it is without the team that helps me. Steve Henke (no blog) has been a great help from day one. And not long after that, Jerry Dixon, joined Quilogy and jumped right in with the group activities including presenting. Without these guys, the Memphis .NET User Group would be in real trouble.
