The United States is the most powerful nation on earth and may continue to be for the next century.

This will mean that the United States will be involved in more wars than any nation.

"Bremer found that stronger states are involved in more wars, initiate more wars and have more deaths per war...Bremer concludes:

Over the past 150 years there is no evidence to support the contention that the possession of military capability in large quantities ensures peace. On the contrary, the evidence suggests that, regardless of whether nations arm to prevent wars or to wage war, in the long run there is a positive association between the possession of military capability and its ultimate use."

John Vasquez, "The War Puzzle," p. 162.

comment :Size gets Stupid at seeing local conditions and locals take advantage or react to decisions made elsewhere and The large blend state has to act and defend its agents who have often acted is Self serving ways.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) hopes the figures will put added pressure l on the administration and on Congress to loosen regulations that prohibit importing medicine from other countries. He is among several state and local leaders whose budgets must accommodate soaring pharmaceutical costs.
