Posted here Monday, September 01, 2003 at 1:36:52 PM       AP via Arab Times (Kuwait): The United States has offered US$9 billion worth of arms sales to Pakistan to help it enhance its defense capability, a newspaper reported Monday. Pakistan's army refused to make any immediate comment on the report, but acknowledged that a meeting of Pakistani and US defense officials - the Pakistan-US Defense Consultative Group - was to be held in Washington later this month to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and America. ********
