Awesome 80's Prom Very fun evening out with the girls. It's an interactive show that's meant to make you feel like you're at the prom of 1989. For one of my friends, it was her first prom. We got most of our clothing from Goodwill and our tickets were free, so it being a cheap night also helped. Oh, and we threw together an easy potluck to eat while preparing our blue eyeshadow. That part was fun 'cause as a younger girl you put make-up on your friends and fix hair and stuff together all the time. Now that these are girls that I've met all since 25+, we hadn't shared that experience before. It was good. So, yep, we had sangria, stuffed shells, edamame, brie, grapes and chocolate chips cookies as we put on our hot pink or bow-clad clothes. We got a neighbor to take a nice leg shot from the porch. We piled up and headed to the hippodrome. Then we danced and interacted perfectly through our prom. I was in love with the bad-boy, of course...and he said he loved me too. I was asked a few times if I was a big fan of Cindy Lauper 'cause I went much more that way with my dress than the traditional. And, as can be expected, I couldn't help but sing to all of the 80's songs from my youth (though, admittedly, my proms were in 95 & 96).
