Urban Educ8r: A Wickerblog
This weblog is dedicated primarily to the discussion of Education issues and policies, as well as to chronicling the author's experiences as an inner-city school teacher. These days, the education discussion is too much in the hands of ignorant politicians merely doing what they need to gain re-election, and not enough in the hands of knowledgable professionals with first hand experience.

So reports the LA Times. First Daughter Jenna chooses to pursue a career in public education with disadvantaged children. Good for her. If she sticks with it, I must admire her for it. With her name, she could do about anything. I hope that she sticks with it. Maybe she'll be able to have some influence on her father's education policies--for the better one hopes. Well, I for one hope the media doesn't scrutinize her forever on end in her first job. Let her be and let her do what she wants to do and come into her own.
