The Long Goodbye

So Scoble is slowly making the transformation from Microsoft evangelist to Silicon Valley tech start up employee. The latest small change -- the tag line of his blog changed from "Microsoft Geek Blogger" to "Tech Geek Blogger".

His personality and blogging style and indeed his blog itself was very much a part of his success at Microsoft. I wonder how much of that will translate to success in his new job. I wonder also -- even if he is successful, if that success will translate to success for Podtech. Though success for Podtech will be a definition of success for him (if Podtech has arranged it appropriately) so it probably is moot. Robert has worked for start ups before so I am thinking he is aware that a very large percentage of start ups fail. Even if Podtech is better than most there is a very good chance of failure.

I do wish him success though -- Robert is definitely one of the good guys.
