I have been noticing that a lot of eBay sellers set a reserve bid on their sales, then set a starting bit way lower than the reserve. I presume there is some logic in that? Psychological manipulation? Testing the market? I really don't know.
It seems to me if you want to sell an item at a reserved price or more that the reserve amount should be the minimum starting bid or very close?
