Here's another source talking about the vulnerability of the CALEA wiretap system, installed at almost all telephone central offices. It talk about the possibility that someone could hack into that system and wiretap peoples phones. Not a good thing.

The article is titled "Wireless LAN Attacks Explained", and it provides a pretty thourough overview of the tools being used to sniff and hack into wireless networks. It seems only 25% to 33% of wireless networks are bothering to turn on WEP. This leaves most system trivially vulnerable to abuse. If you are considering deploying a wireless network in your home or business, you should first learn about the weaknesses. I found out about the article from this blog at the WiFi Security Project.

I found this to be a very informative article listing a number of sources of Security, Network, WiFi etc Blogs/RSS news feeds. If you've never tried an RSS news feed, go download Radio from www.userland.com, and try the 30 day trial. Use the news Aggregator to subscribe to various RSS feeds, and read whats of interest. It's a very fast and efficient way to keep up with various sources. --Jon--
