Today I had a couple of companies in to service or fix stuff at the house, then headed up the road to Summerville. I needed to take the H2 to McElveen Hummer to get the headlights adjusted so they wouldnt blind other drivers at night. Even though this was out of warranty, they still fixed it for free. Thanks!
Instead of the boring drive down I-26, I headed off on Hwy 17A to see about reaching Hwy 41 for the return home. Had a nice drive in some new scenery, passing through Moncks Corner, Huger, and back down 41. Will return back to Moncks Corner to visit the Santee Old Canal site for a hike there. Didn't have time for it today as had a board conference call at 5pm. This lasted an hour and we hit the road to see the Stingrays play hockey against the Ice Pilots. Great game and saw Paulo there!
Capped off the night with watching Akira Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress", which is a great fun film. BTW, it has been said this was one of several influences for George Lucas and Star Wars. Talk about getting out of impossible situations...
Below are the pics from a stop in the Francis Marion National Forest at the Huger Recreation Area. It seemed to be about the size of a football field or a little larger. Might stop back in here next trip up to sit on the log couch.
