For me, it was a revelation of relevancy. TeOma, which is Gaelic for "Expert" pulled up one of my pages accurately were Google failed. My client's page was new and never submitted. It doen't appear in Google under the search term " south Tulsa lots ", but does in TeOma (waterstonetulsa.com if you're curious). TeOma is new (it's the new technology behind Ask Jeeves). But the Wall Street Journal has an article (password only) that indicates this little search engine is on target. It may just be the next Google...
