Tulsa's on a roll.  State Farm stays ! as mentioned in a article by The Tulsa World's Editorial Writers 2/6/2004 More good news for Tulsa's economy Tulsa's on a roll. The last few weeks have brought some good news on the economic front in the Metro Tulsa area. It continued Wednesday when State Farm Insurance Co. announced that it will keep its Tulsa office and even expand it by 200 jobs over the next 18 months. There was a sigh of relief from the 725 or so employees at 51st Street and 129th East Avenue as well as at City Hall. The good news for Tulsa employees was tempered by the fact that for the Tulsa office to remain open, an older and larger facility in Monroe, La., had to close, putting almost 1,000 workers out of jobs there.  Read more at [George Thomas' Radio Weblog] 1:04:30 AM
