Is UML Out of Date?

Stephen Palmer asks whether UML is out of date?. I certainly agree with everything he says about properties vs. attributes and the JavaBeans convention. This is something that Java-geared UML tools are generally sadly lacking (including our own UML offerings in JDeveloper).
