Call for papers on Industrial Relations
The Korean Journal of Industrial Relations (KJIR) edited by the Korea Industrial Relations Association is calling for papers. The scope of the journal includes all fields of Industrial relations, both theoretical and positive.
The journal is published twice a year, in June (No. 1) and in December (No. 2). Articles can be in Korean or in English. Deadlines for submission are April 30 and October 30. Papers will undergo the review process after these deadlines.
Each year the best article will be selected among the articles that are published in the KJIR and will be awarded with the prize scholarship of USD 4,000 (5 million Korean won)

Lecture on Labor Law at UC Berkeley 9/22/03
Practitioner-in-Resdience Jon Hiatt, General Counsel for the (AFL-CIO) in Washington, DC will be the Boalt Hall School of Law, Center for Social Justice Practitioner-in Residence and will speak at the Ruth Chance Monday Lecture on September 22, 2003 at 12:45 - 1:45 in room 100. The topic will be "What the Labor Movement is Doing to Protect Workers". Later that afternoon at 5:00 p.m., there will be a Discussion and Reception in honor of Mr. Hiatt in the Boalt Hall Faculty Lounge, room 336. The discussion will be on how legal regulations of the work place and collective bargaining can mesh in practice to give real protection to workers. Guest speakers will be Professors Linda Krieger, Barry Winograd, and Attorney John True. A reception will follow the discussion.
