Northern California Conference on Privatization and Contracting Out November 23, 2003 San Francisco, Hall of Flowers 9:00AM-5:00 PM
Privatization, Contracting Out - Labor and Our Communities
The threat of privatization and contracting out of work is growing at a rapid rate. The plan of the Bush administration to privatize 850,000 federal jobs and the ongoing privatization of thousands of jobs in San Francisco and the bay area must be confronted. From the San Francisco Presidio, the Edison Project in the schools, the U.S. Postal Service, Air Traffic Controllers, Golden Gate Park, UC-SF and a myriad of other areas, labor and our communities are under attack. NAFTA and the FTAA enforce these policies and the WTO/IMF & WB are actively pushing to implement them in every country of the world. This one-day conference will be held on Sunday November 23, 2003 at the Hall of Flowers at 9th Ave & Lincoln in Golden Gate Park. The San Francisco Labor Council supports this conference and will invite locals and all affiliated organizations to participate. Please join us. We need your support to stop these attacks
