Check out this Wired article about the Pentagon's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) that wants to digitally recreate every element of a soldier's body, and embed it all on a chip in the soldier's dog tags. Sounds innocent. Well turn on your SF imagination on this one. I know I will. I'll post some ideas later.

Get some info on Pulsars, in this article that talks about a recent discover of a pulsar. Plenty of details to give you some intuition in your SF writing.

Nice article about quantum computers. It provides an overview of how they work and the pitfalls with them.

Okay, this genetics post is about plants, flowers in particular. I don't see why some of the theories presented could be used in a SF story ala Nancy Kress. It's a little academic, it's from Indiana University, but trust me, the more you read this stuff the more you get it.
