Still on double secret probation? I always thought National Lampoon's Animal House was made just for me and my fraternity brothers. While things in our version of the Delta house weren't that wild and crazy, there were a lot of recognizable scenes and themes. And wasn't Dean Wormer the perfect authority-figure caricature? It turns out it's not just me. Director John Landism has said that everyone who mentions the film to him says that it was their college experience, even Senator Sam Ervin! (That was on an episode of HBO's On the Record with Bob Costas program this summer. Anyhow, Delta House is back in a 25th anniversary DVD.
