Garageband

I've been playing around with Garageband, a piece of musically-oriented software from Apple. Garageband seems to me functionally like a recording studio. Only you don't really need to play an instrument to work with it--it comes with many loops of professionally played and recorded instruments. By dragging and dropping the loops onto a timeline, you create a serviceable piece of music. Despite having no musical training, talent, or even much interest, I must say that Garageband is loads of fun and has the potential to soak up lots of hours in front of the screen. Not to mention lots of CPU cycles. Lots. G5 anyone?
