Euro BloggerCon

Dave Winer: "Where should we have the European BloggerCon?"

Well, maybe the Dutch edition won't be the European edition, but it's in Europe, so it's a European editiion. How's that for starters?

By the way, I'm doubting if designating a BloggerCon edition to be the European one will
work. Europe is rather large, and the separate countries have too less
in common (language, for instance, allthough probably everyone speaks a
bit English) to really connect, I think. And I don't see many bloggers,
regular people from the street with a blog, take a plane to another
country to attend a bloggercon. Ofcourse, some will definately come,
but not as many as would be interested.

I think Europe is still too divided to do this.
Dutch vs. International

I'm thinking of not limiting the Dutch BloggerCon to Dutch people.
Maybe, if more people are interested, it might me a good idea to do a
few sessions in English. That way it will become an international
BloggerCon which just so happens to be held in Holland.
Howto do a BloggerCon

Dave has written a first BloggerCon howto. The text explains the format of the conference. It's very clear and contains useful guidelines for a Dutch edition.
Happy Easter

Good morning, happy easter. I've gotten some positive responses to my BloggerCon plans.
I like it. Some people have blogged about it, which is good, because
the more people know about it, the more people can add ideas. So if you
read this, and have a blog, and if you are interested in a Dutch
BloggerCon (DB), please blog about it. The more thoughts, the better.
I'm especially interested in a good location to do all this.

I've received a few mails about the DB, so I will go through them and try to reply today. Also I saw Dave saying he would come, so we've got at least one attendee. ";->"
