Japanese-owned company plans to add 260 jobs at Ohio plant Sumitomo Mitsubishi Silicon Corp., also known as SUMCO Phoenix Corp., that makes silicon wafers for semiconductors is planning a $50 million expansion to add 260 jobs over three years at its plant near this southwestern Ohio community. The company currently employs about 400 people at the plant. Ohio and Warren County put together a $5.7 million incentive package to help persuade the company to expand. [Miami Herald: Business]
