Trucking Jobs Take the High Road. COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) -- The Waggoners Trucking company announced plans Thursday to locate a regional hub in Columbus, bringing up to 450 jobs. The proliferation of auto assembly plants across the Southeast years has created a need for a facility in the region. Turkish-Uzbek joint textile factory opens in Tashkent

A Turkish-Uzbek 20.7 million US dollar- project Ya-DEM Textile was opened in Yangiyul city of Tashkent region yesterday. The factory will manufacture products worth of 24 million US dollars per year to export abroad markets.
The factory is equipped with weaving and sewing machines, imported from Japan Turkey, Italy, Germany and South Korea.
Seven hundred people are employed at the factory currently. According to the Recep Sirin, Executive Director of the joint venture, the number of workers will triple after the factory is led in full capacity. | Turks.US Mar 19 2004 2:23PM GMT
