Jobs boost for plastics firm. Forty eight jobs will be created in south Wales after a German plastics manufacturer received a £1.45m grant. A further 54 jobs at the Ensinger plant in Llantrisant will be safeguarded under the expansion plans.  BBC Apr 5 2004 11:24AM GMT

Latin America builds trade muscle. Two large regional trade blocs combine, with the aim of presenting a united front to the US in upcoming talks. Closure Costs Casino Windsor Millions. It is reportedly costing Casino Windsor $1.5 million a day as it remains closed due to a union strike. More than 3,000 union workers walked off the job at 12:01 a.m. Saturday. The casino had temporarily closed its doors to the public at 6 p.m. Friday due to the labor dispute.

Recovery under way in US services. The US economy is showing further signs of recovery with strong Institute of Supply Management figures.
