Civil servants to strike over pay. Tens of thousands of civil servants will stage a second two-day strike next week in a dispute over pay, unions say. This will be the second stoppage in the dispute. In February, some job centres and benefit offices were forced to close as a result of the strike. IBM buys into Indian outsourcing. The US computer giant expands its operations in India with its first acquisition in the shape of a call-centre operator. Computer giant IBM has agreed to buy India's third largest business outsourcing firm. The price tag for Daksh, based near Delhi, was not revealed but is thought to be about $150m-200m (£80m-110m).
