Colorado Trip Had a wonderful trip to Aspen over the past weekend. Right off the plane, we took a hike up to the Maroon Bells (about 9,000 feet) and then we stayed at a private log cabin situated on a high mountain spur (11,500 feet). I had a few problems adjusting to such high altitude, but the company was good and the scenery was exhilarating. I have some pictures in a web photo album, if you'd like to see. Land of REAL Chilli Springfield has been a home to "chilli" parlors (note, not chili) since the 1930s, when a bowl of hot, spicy beans and meat, generously sprinkled with oyster crackers, provided a quick and cheap meal. Today only a few of those parlors survive (Joe Rogers' at 20 North 9th Street, successor to the Den), but you may still buy Chilliman in cans, and now from an online store.
