These Boots Were Made for.... We've been getting snow on and off for about a week now, which means I've had to abandon my shoes for my old hiking boots (my real winter boots I reserve for -30 weather). I've become rather fond of these hiking boots. They're still in amazing shape, in spite of being 20 years old! They have taken me over the tundra of Baffin Island, up and down the Anapurnas in Nepal, through India and Europe, and on many a Yukon and Alaskan back trail. Think they've made a trip or two to Vancouver, Toronto and Nova Scotia too.
When objects have been around for a long time, they tend to take on personalities...kind of like old houses. These workhorses of the foot world are loyal, hardworking, trustworthy but have a sense of fun and a bit of a wild side. They're also impatient, feeling they're long overdue for a new adventure. We'll have to see what we can do about that.
