I remember seeing lots of pictures like this when I was a kid - mostly of houses being moved from Newfoundland outports to larger centres. It made me sad, even back then.
On the Home Front All's quiet on the home front with Iris (other than the fact that she's mad at us for not letting her go to the school dance tonight - one of the consequences of her recent actions). She continues to say that what's happened hasn't changed her feelings of friendship towards Jasmine. In fact, she feels sorry for Jasmine, and says if I were Jasmine's mom she would have had trouble telling me the truth.
I bite my tongue, knowing I can say no more. I'm not feeling so charitable towards Jasmine, but continuing to slam her in front of Iris is not going to help the situation. I feel sick, though, that Iris would willingly let someone treat her the way Jasmine has.
