How Much Clothing Can One Person Put On?
The thermometer outside our back door bottoms out at around -46 degrees. The murcury starts to freeze and it just stops working. That's where my thermometer is at today....so who knows how cold it actually is. The radio said -45 but it's always colder at our place.

I let the kids stay home today (Alan and Iris didn't have school in any event because they're finished their exams) and I bundled up and took the bus to work. Joe was trying to get his truck started as I left.
Here's what I wore:
-regular underwear
-long underwear (top and bottom)
-long sleeved cotton pullover
-wool sweater
-cotton pants
-snow pants
-'mother hubbard' coat - long with a hood and very warm (it has two layers)
-my warmest 'bunny' boots
-my moose and beaver mittens
-two face masks (a light synthetic one and a wool one over that)

I was toasty warm waiting for the bus, although I did find the additional 20 pounds of clothing rather cumbersome!
